Manatee Amazon Explorer II

Amazonian Cruise

Over 60 million years, South America was an enormous island, partially submerged in the Atlantic. Hundreds of rivers began to form, interlaced by the “Refuges of the Pleistocene” with the rarest species of plants and animals. Later Panama united the Continent with the north and the biogenetic transactions created the hugest life of orchids in the Planet.

In 1541, an expedition started off from Quito, the oldest capital of the continent, for “the Country of the Cinnamon”, in search of gold and other hidden wealth in the forest. Then there was the discovery of the Great River of the Amazon.

Almost 500 years have passed from the discovery of this fabulous system that crosses the more extensive natural forest of the world, lodging 10% of all the species of trees, 70% of all pharmaceutical compounds and indigenous communities that come in symbiotic form with their ecosystem. This is the habitat of wild species that has fresh water dolphins, 500 species of birds, dozens of species of monkeys, caymans, tapires, 2500 species of butterflies and much more...

Today, you can enjoy a stay in this magical world for adults and children. Our Manatee Amazon Explorer is designed for adventure, but with the comforts and advantages of the modern technology as it is the result of more than 25 years of experience in the organization of unique expeditions in its sort. You will be invited to board and share unforgettable memories with us.
