Arrival to the Lodge. If arrival is at 3pm, you enjoy a long walk around the Lodge (supper and lodging will follow).

Galapagos Tours Day 02:
Exit in Canoe to the Rio Misahuallì Muyuna Town

Exit in canoe after the breakfast, from the beach of the Jungle Lodge. Navigate on the Misahuallí and Napo Rivers. See a demonstration of gold. Arrive in the Protected Forest of the GERMAN GARDEN and continue to the shore of the Napo River to MISICOCHA for a long walk of 2 to 3 hours in primary forest. The nature guide is going to explain flora and fauna of the Amazon with special emphasis in the medicinal plants of the region. Lunch in a typical hut.

We embark to visit the indigenous town of Muyuna. Here the natives show the typical drink of "CHICHA". This drink is prepared of yucca and it ferments itself with barbasco. (Gratuity by canoe 3.-USS) In Muyuna there is the opportunity to acquire crafts done by the natives.

We embark for the next visit to the house of the Shaman that demonstrates his curing powers in a cleaning and speaks on its spiritual encounter in the forest. There is also a demonstration of the blowpipe, an original form to hunt by the natives.

Return in canoe to the Jungle Lodge in afternoon have supper and lodge.

Galapagos Tours Day 03:
Long walk in the Forest

After the breakfast, take a long walk in the forest and to labyrinth of high rocks with amazing vegetation. The nature guide is going to indicate the typical plants of the zone and their uses in the daily life. During the long walk we will encounter a rocky zone that has high rocks and open caverns. Lunch in the Lodge will follow.

In afternoon take a long walk to the shore to the suspension bridge on the Misahuallí River. We cross and enter the region of the Indigenous Community of the Alto Pununo. See as they live and they work. We arrive to the bridge on the Pununo River and return on the Misahuallí River to the suspension bridge and to the Lodge of the Community of Colonos Pununo. Return to the Lodge, have supper and lodge.

Galapagos Tours Day 04:
Long walk throughout the Rio Misahuallì and the Silica Mine

After the breakfast take a long walk along the Misahuallí River until the Silica Mine. Silica is white sand that is used for the manufacture of ceramics and glass. In this zone they bring forth three waters: white water with sulfa, black water with petroleum and water of source. Sulfa attracts many tropical butterflies and other insects. It is also a preferred place of pericos. Geologically it is the oldest part of the Alto Napo.

Return to the Lodge for the lunch.

In afternoon visit the Misahuallí town, where you can observe a group of capuchinos monkeys in the beach. Learn about the most beautiful insects, the butterflies in a mariposario (entrance 1.50 $ per person). Return to the Lodge, have supper and lodge.
